Rules for the
Tempest Memorial Best In Specialty Show Trophy
I. Nature of the Award
- A rotating trophy, the CCRCA Tempest Memorial Trophy shall be awarded to the Curly-Coated Retriever who wins Best in Specialty Show (BISS) at the CCRCA National Specialty.
- The trophy will be awarded at the annual CCRCA National Specialty.
- The trophy was commissioned by private donors as a memorial to Am/Can/UKC Ch Ptarmigan Gale at Riverwatch WC,CD,CGC,TT,TDI,ROMX,HOF (1991-2003) - five time BISS winner and seven time Westminster Best of Breed winner.
- The trophy consists of a life-sized coldcast bronze bust of Tempest mounted on a fine wood base. A certificate is also awarded.
II. Eligibility
- Any Curly-Coated Retriever registered with the American Kennel Club shall be eligible for this trophy.
- An animal is eligible to repeat as winner.
III. Responsibilities of the Rotating Trophies Committee
- The Rotating Trophies committee shall arrange for getting the trophy engraved and shipped to the winner each year.
IV. Ownership
1. The trophy is owned by the CCRCA.
- The trophy must be returned to the CCRCA Rotating Trophy Chairman in good condition four weeks prior to the CCRCA National Specialty.
- A non-CCRCA member may not take possession, but would receive the certificate.
